EMC Military Testing (MIL-STD-461)

MIL-STD-461G is a set of standards issued by the U.S. Department of Defense (U.S. DoD) that focuses on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements for military equipment and systems

Compliance Engineering’s continues to invest in the latest facilities and test equipment in order to keep up with the ever-growing needs of the defence industry.

Our latest test capabilities not only allow us to perform emission measurements up to 40 GHz but we are also now able to achieve 200 V/m field levels up to 40 GHz.

Military EMC Standards

The MIL-STD-461G EMC standard describes in detail the tests that must be performed on any type of electronic, electrical or electromechanical equipment used in military applications.

Tests are divided into:

  • CE – Conducted emissions
  • RE – Radiated emissions
  • CS – Conducted susceptibility
  • RS – Radiated susceptibility

Compliance Engineering are A2LA accredited to perform the following tests:

  • MIL-STD-461D / MIL-STD-462D
    (CE101, CE102, RE101, RE102, CS101, CS114, CS115, CS116, RS101, RS103);
  • MIL-STD-461E
    (CE101, CE102, RE101, RE102, CS101, CS114, CS115, CS116, RS101, RS103);
  • MIL-STD-461F
    (CE101, CE102, RE101, RE102, CS101, CS106, CS114, CS115, CS116, RS101, RS103);
